Local Analysis on Thin Sandwiches

Abstract

Let L be a Lie algebra over a field F with E _n , n < p = char F. Although we have at our disposal a thin sandwich c of L as given by Theorem 2.2.1, at first glance there are constraints on our means of extending the set of thin sandwiches (which is necessary for constructing thick sandwiches), despite the fact that Lemma 2.4.2 tells us that [cx³ c] ∈ ℂ1* for all x ∈ L.
