Abstract
A 71-year-old female patient underwent a metal-to-metal hip prosthesis implant for degenerative arthrosis 5 years ago. Subacute eczema appeared 1 year ago (20 cm by 8 cm, centred on the implant scar). Eczema improved with local treatment, only to reappear on cessation of treatment.
