Abstract

Since the discovery of the continuously evolving solar wind its chemical composition has always been of particular interest. From detailed diagnostics of genuine solar material important clues about our heliosphere and its history as well as about “our” star in relation with other stars may be found. However, there is still an embarrassing scarcity of conclusive data, because of problems not only with instrumentation but also with data interpretation.
