Zusammenfassung
Die von Wassily Leontief begründete Input-Output-Analyse ist eine vorwiegend nachfrageorientierte Konzeption und läßt sich als sektoral disaggregierte Fortführung Keynesscher Theorie deuten; sie weckte bei ihren Befürwortern Hoffnung als Instrument konjunktureller Steuerung und strukturpolitischer Orientierung. Mit dem Siegeszug der monetaristischen und der angebotsorientierten Makroökono-mik verlor die Input-Output-Analyse in den Vereinigten Staaten jedoch an Einfluß und Interesse; sie gehört nicht mehr zum Lehrprogramm führender US-amerikanischer Universitäten.
