Am 11. Juli 1987 verkündete die Weltorganisation für Bevölkerungsangelegenheiten UNFPA, daβ die Weltbevölkerung die magische Zahl von 5 Mrd. Menschen erreicht habe und noch vor Ablauf dieses Jahrhunderts 6 Mrd. und in nicht einmal 35 Jahren schon 8 Mrd. Menschen zählen werde. Ist diese Meldung nun eine gute oder schlechte Nachricht?
