Die größte Datenmenge, die im Laufe einer Simulationsstudie anfällt, entsteht üblicherweise beim Experimentieren mit den Simulationsmodellen. Daher ist es von größter Wichtigkeit, diese Datenflut für den Benutzer übersichtlich und gut strukturiert aufzubewahren. Die logische Datenstruktur des Simulationssystems SIMPLEX-II wird im ersten Abschnitt dieses Vortrages erläutert.
