Abstract

Recent investigations have opened new perspectives on the psychopharmacological approach of the old problem of the quality of sleep. Many people have problems with initiating or maintaining sleep. Insomnia, therefore, is a common subject in the daily practice of physicians. Sleep disturbances also occur rather frequently in patients presenting with mental disorders.
