ESR Study of Reactive Intermediates in the Radiolysis and Photholysis of al Alkoxides
The ESR spectroscopy coupled with matrix isolation at low temperature and spin trapping is used to investigate the unstable species produced by electron capture, electron loss and homolytic bond rupture in gamma and uv irradiated AL alkoxides(1). The results are aimed to contribute to the elucidation of the chemistry of the reactive intermediates of this class of organometallic compounds which is of interest in connection with their role as cathalyst.
