ESR Technique in a 2mm Range of Wavelengths and its Physico-Chemical Applications
Some characteristic features of a 2 mm ESR spectroscopy as compared with a 3 cm ESR: the influence of high Ho on anisotropic hfi, on the properties of spectra in polycrystals, on line broadening due to spin-lattice relaxation are considered. A spectrometer developed for physico-chemical applications is described. Applications of a 2 mm ESR spectroscopy to divide the spectra of stable free radicals in mixture, to determine the magnetic resonance parameters, to study molecular mobility and dimerization are given. All investigations have been done on organic free radicals mainly nitroxide type in different glassy solutions. In conclusion the possible approaches to other chemical applications of a 2 mm ESR spectroscopy are considered.
