Der pulmonale Gefäßwiderstand nimmt postpartal im Rahmen der physiologischen Anpassungsreaktion an das extrauterine Leben rasch ab und ermöglicht so den Beginn des pulmonalen Kreislaufes und Gasaustausches [2, 3, 7].
