The study of the competitiveness of C4-hydrocarbons is subdivided into the presentation of the technologies for producing and processing them, the evaluation of the economics of these technologies, and the cost-benefit analysis of the secondary products. The result can be summarized in statements about the conditions of competition in the production process of the primary and raw materials, about the conversion alternatives into secondary products, and the assessment of the competitiveness of the industrial and speciality chemicals and the articles which can be made from them.
