Abstract
The wastewater in the catchment of Lake Ammer, an important recreation area of Greater Munich, is collected in a separate system. The wastewater is treated in a mechanical-biological wastewater treatment plant by using the activated sludge process. The treatment plant with 60,000 population equivalents is situated at the mouth of Lake Ammer.
