Abstract
India has adopted family planning as her national policy. A considerable amount of money is being spent on family planning activities and yet there has not been any marked curb in population growth. The people are not sufficiently motivated towards the practice of contraceptives. The reasons behind this are mainly psychological. The author has tried to investigate the reasons.
