Abstract

Despite the advantage of the availability of a vast budget and necessary propaganda facilities by all media, the concept of vasectomy as a contraceptive procedure is still not well accepted by the Indian masses. With a view to understanding the prevalent methods and the reasons for nonacceptability of vasectomy, a survey was carried out recently in Bombay. Two hundred married couples with no marital discord were studied in detail.
