Zusammenfassung

Einen Teil des klinischen Syndroms Sepsis, insbesondere in der operativen Medizin, stellen die Störungen des hämostatischen Systems und ihre Organfolgen dar. Es werden im folgenden die aktuellen Vorstellungen über die Pathophysiologie dieser Störungen, die Möglichkeiten ihrer Diagnostik und schließlich die gängigen Verfahren zur Prävention und zur Behandlung der manifesten Erkrankung besprochen.
