Zusammenfassung
Die Funktion transplantierter Organe wird in erster Linie durch immunologische Abstoßungsreaktionen beeinträchtigt. Noch immer gehen 8–10% der Nierentransplantate und etwa 20% der transplantierten Herzen bei Patienten ohne Risiko im ersten Jahr nach Transplantation verloren. Alle Abstoßungsreaktionen, auch solche, die nicht zum Verlust des Organs führen, resultieren in unterschiedlichen Formen der Funktionsstörung. Sie treten meist in den ersten 3 Monaten nach Transplantation auf und können auf vielfältige Weise, z. B. durch klinischphysikalische Methoden, klinisch-chemische Tests, Histologie sowie zytologische und immunologische Untersuchungsmethoden überwacht werden.
