Abstract
Zoonoses are diseases of animals that are transmissible to humans. Of the more than 250 communicable diseases affecting man, more than 80% are zoonoses. Worldwide, brucellosis ranks high among serious zoonotic diseases, and in some countries, especially in developing nations, the incidence of human brucellosis has reached epidemic proportions [1].
