Influence of Air Pollution to Respiratory Diseases in Infancy

Abstract

Our examination concerns with a possible relation between a high air pollution and the frequency of illness with subglottic laryngitis and spastic bronchitis in childhood. In case of subglottic laryngitis is observed an inspiratoric stridor and inspiratoric dyspnea. Both diseases are typical for babies and young children. They are caused by viruses or more rarely by bacteries. Air pollution could only be able to aggravate the situation.
