Zusammenfassung
Das Erkennen der Beziehungsstruktur einer Familie ist eines der Hauptziele in der Familientherapie. Dabei wird von der Annahme ausgegangen, daß sich in der Struktur vorgefundener Interaktionsformen spiegelt, welche Positionen, Rollen und Funktionen die einzelnen Mitglieder in der Familiengruppierung besitzen. Quantität und Qualität der familialen Interaktion und Kommunikation werden als Medium verstanden, mit dem eine bestimmte Beziehungsstruktur innerhalb der Familie immer wieder hergestellt wird (Bateson et al., 1956; Hess & Handel, 1959; Parsons & Bales, 1955; Selvini Palazzoli et al., 1977; Wynne et al., 1958). Insofern sind „wiederkehrende Muster“ (Bateson 1979) in der Familieninteraktion für das Erkennen und Kennzeichnen einer spezifischen Struktur von grundlegender diagnostischer Bedeutung.
