Abstract

Xianhecao, Herba Agrimoniae, is the dry above ground part of Agrimonia pilosa Ledeb. (Rosaceae) harvested in summer and fall when the plants flourish. It is listed officially in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia and used as a hemostatic, antimalarial, and antidysenteric agent.
