Abstract

Weilingxian, Radix Clematidis, is the dry rootstock and root of Clematis chinensis Osbeck, C. manshurica Rupr, or C. hexapetala Pall. (Ranunculaceae) collected in the fall. This official crude drug was used in Chinese traditional medicine as an antirheumatic and analgesic.
