Abstract

Ebushicao, Herba Centipedae, is the dry whole plant of Centipeda minima (L.) A. Braun et Aschers. (Asteraceae) collected in summer or fall when the plant blooms. This official medicinal herb is recommended in traditional Chinese medicine as an antiallergic, antitussive, and expectorant agent for treatment of cold, nasal allergy, and asthma.
