Physical Processes in Estuaries; Some Evaluating Remarks
This symposium has shown that estuarine science is moving forward over a broad front. This is understandable in view of the increasing use of the estuarine environment for human activities and the few natural changes either not, or only indirectly caused by such activities. Foremost among the latter is a possible acceleration in the rise of sea level.
