Abstract
Parotin (parotid hormone) has significant and surprising effects on long bones and their vascularization and on fracture callus. In this study we present the results obtained through bilateral-total ablation of the parotid gland in experimental animals (male and female adult albino rats) [1, 5, 7–9]. This produces a complete lack of such hormonal extracts and, hence, the complete absence of their effect on long bone tissue and its specific vascularization.
