Zusammenfassung

Einer noch geringen Zahl von Aids-Fällen stehen ca. 200 000 HIV-infizierte Personen gegenüber, von denen vermutlich nur 10% von ihrer Infektion wissen. Primärer Infektionsmodus sind Sexualkontakte, wobei inzwischen auch die heterosexuelle Übertragung gut dokumentiert ist. Entgegen früherer Annahmen kann davon ausgegangen werden, daß die Infizierung bidirektionell erfolgt, d.h. für Männer und Frauen besteht das gleiche Infektionsrisiko (Jäger 1987).
