Zusammenfassung

Seit dem Bekanntwerden der ersten Übertragung einer HIV-Infektion durch Fremdblut ist der in der operativen Medizin tätige Arzt gezwungen, die Indikation zur homologen Bluttransfusion noch gründlicher zu prüfen und alternativen Methoden zur Verminderung und dem Ersatz des intraoperativen Blutverlustes größeres Gewicht einzuräumen.
