Zusammenfassung
Schon immer stellte die Anästhesie von Kindern and Kleinkindern an den Anästhesisten and sein Hilfspersonal besonders hohe Anforderungen. Dies gilt sowohl für das „anästhesiologische Handwerk“im engeren Sinne als auch für das theoretische Fundament; volle Aufmerksamkeit and Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit bei Überwachung and Durchführung der Kindernarkosen sind notwendig. Unter dem Aspekt der größtmöglichen Sicherheit batten die Inhalationsnarkotika von jeher eine zentrale Bedeutung für dieses Teilgebiet, insbesondere das jedem dort tätigen Anästhesisten vertraute Halothan.
