Abstract
Interferons have demonstrated a broad spectrum of biological activity with an increasing number of clinical applications. Expression of interferon receptors on the surface of myeloid cells is a prerequisite for the intracellular activity of these mediators, but little is known of the receptor status of myeloid cells in myeloproliferative disease. The present study deals with determination and characterization of interferon alpha (IFN-α) receptors on the basis of morphological, cytochemical, and immunocytochemical criteria.
