Zusammenfassung

Die Bestimmung der Serumproteinkonzentration und der elektrophoretischen Serumproteinfraktionen (Albumin, α, β- und γ-Globuline) gehören heute zum Standardprogramm der klinischen La-boruntersuchungen. Mit wenigen Ausnahmen (z.B. monoklonale Gammopathie, Immunglobu- linmangel) sind die Eiweißbefunde jedoch nicht krankheitsspezifisch, sondern geben lediglich Hin-weise auf bestimmte Krankheitsgruppen bzw. Krankheitsverläufe.
