Zusammenfassung

Unter portaler Hypertension versteht man eine vorübergehende oder dauernde Erhöhung des Blutdrucks im Stammgebiet der V. portae und in allen zuführenden großen Venen mit einem Druckanstieg von normal 5 mmHg auf über 15 mmHg. Ursache ist eine Abflußbehinderung oder wesentlich seltener eine Zunahme des Blutflusses.
