Abstract
We started to use a “wait-and-see” strategy in clinical stage I nonseminomatous testicular tumors in 1984. In our experience the patients’ compliance with this policy is not as good as it could be due to problems involving organization and psychological disorders of importance are the high costs, incompetence, carelessness, and fear of bad news. The subject is discussed in terms of how to reduce failures of “wait-and-see” strategy.
Zusammenfassung
Unabhängig von der Frage der Sicherheit der Behandlungsform stellt die “Wait and see”-Strategie hohe Anforderungen an Aufklärung, Verständnis — Kontrolle und Sicherstellung der Überwachung.
