Zusammenfassung

Der kritischste technische Faktor für die erfolgreiche klinische Erprobung der Inseltransplantation beim Typ-I-Diabetes stellt die Inselisolierung dar. Dabei steht im Vordergrund die Qualitätskontrolle des Inseltransplantats mit Nachweis der erhaltenen Vitalität isolierter Inseln (1). Kurz vor der Inseltransplantation ist die Auswertung der üblichen in-vitro-Messung der glucosestimulierten Insulinsekretion nicht möglich. Deshalb war das Ziel der Studie, den von MOSMAN (2) beschriebenen MTT-Vitalitäts-test auf Verwendbarkeit für isolierte Pankreasinseln zu überprüfen.
