Zusammenfassung
Die Frage nach den Wirkfaktoren psychotherapeutischen Handelns ist dabei, die Frage, ob Psychotherapie überhaupt wirke, aus dem Feld des wissenschaftlichen Interesses zu drängen. Der nach Eysencks provokanter, folgenreicher und programmatischer Arbeit aus dem Jahr 1952 einsetzende 30-jährige Krieg um den Nachweis psychotherapeutischer Effizienz bzw. um den Nachweis konzeptueller Superiorität hatte keine Sieger.
