Abstract

Personality is generally defined as a group of relatively enduring traits that serve to influence behavior. The various combinations and permutations of these traits account for the myriad behavioral patterns observed in people. How personality forms, what maintains particular personality patterns, and what factors induce or encourage change in personality are and have been widely debated over the years.
