Zusammenfassung

An increasing volume of literature has identified medical illnesses unique to musicians. These medical difficulties are the subject of multispecialty clinics in at least ten institutions in the United States. At the Massachusetts General Hospital, a team composed of a neurologist, psychiatrist, orthopaedic surgeon, clinical neuro-physiologist, as well as a physician’s assistant, and physical and occupational therapists has seen over 1000 musicians with upper extremity problems.
