Zusammenfassung
Der Begriff „neurophysiologisches Monitoring“ bezieht sich auf die intermittierende oder kontinuierliche Funktionsregistrierung zentral- oder periphernervöser Strukturen, um spontane oder induzierte Veränderungen zu erfassen. Dies ist insbesondere von Bedeutung, wenn die neurologischklinische Untersuchung unter den Bedingungen einer Allgemeinanästhesie mit Relaxation und kontrollierter Beatmung nur begrenzte Informationen liefert. Die Ergebnisse einer derartigen Funktionsprüfung müssen für den Anwender sofort on line zur Verfügung stehen, wenn daraus Konsequenzen für operative und andere therapeutische Interventionen resultieren sollen. Für jede propagierte Methode muß die Durchführbarkeit im operativen Bereich und über die Kriterien Sensitivität, Spezifität und Reliabilität ihre Brauchbarkeit bei einzelnen Operationsverfahren bestimmt werden. Die heute angewandten Methoden leiten sich im wesentlichen aus der Elektroenzephalographie und der Messung des zerebralen Blutflusses ab (Tabelle 1).
