Zusammenfassung
An die Darstellung der pathologisch veränderten Hirndurchblutung durch bildgebende Verfahren werden zunehmende Anforderungen gestellt. Von Seiten der Klinik sind es insbesondere die Unsicherheiten in der konservativen und operativen Therapie zerebrovaskulärer Erkrankungen. Andererseits bestehen in der Kenntnis der pathophysiologischen Zusammenhänge zwischen Gehirndurchblutung und der akuten Subarachnoidalblutung sowie dem AV-Angiom erhebliche Defizite. Auch über die Pathophysiologie der globalen und regionalen Hirndurchblutung bei Tumoren und dem Hydrozephalus sind neue Erkenntnisse zu erwarten. Bekannt ist, daß die unterschiedlichen Krankheitsbilder letztendlich auch über eine globale oder regionale Verminderung der Hirndurchblutung zu schweren funktionellen oder strukturellen Beeinträchtigungen des Gehirns führen können. Deshalb wird schon seit langer Zeit nach einer einfachen, den Patienten wenig belastenden, kurzfristig wiederholbaren Methode der Hirndurchblutungsmessung gesucht, die mit einer hohen Auflösung und exakten tomographisch-anatomischen Zuordnung eine quantitative Berechnung der globalen und regionalen Hirndurchblutung in ml/min/100 g Hirngewebe ermöglicht.
