Zusammenfassung

Wenn man berücksichtigt, daß die erste Publikation über thrombolytische Therapie beim frischen Herzinfarkt im „Journal of Clinical Investigation“ des Jahres 1959 [8] erschien, und wenn man in Rechnung stellt, welchen Raum dieses Thema auf Kongressen und in kardiologischen Zeitschriften der letzten 4 Jahre einnimmt, wird klar, daß diese Übersicht nur eine Auswahl von Problemen behandeln und manch wichtige Teilaspekte nur anreißen kann. Zudem ist es eine Übersicht mit dem Blick und aus der Erfahrung eines Internisten, der sich als Hämatologe mit der Entwicklung der fibrinolytischen Therapie generell beschäftigt hat.
