Abstract

This paper reviews some recent developments in the theoretical modeling of membranes. Results on 1)the structure and phase transitions in single membranes, 2)the interactions between two approaching membranes and 3)the coagulation and fusion of quenched vesicles are presented.

“Physicist always have the habit of taking the simplest example of any phenomenon and calling it “physics”, leaving the more complicated examples to become the concern of other fields.”
