Zusammenfassung

Das lokale Tumorrezidiv nach Resektion eines Rektumkarzinoms wird bei etwa einem Drittel aller operierten Patienten beobachtet. Klinische Symptome aber auch suspekte Laborwerte (CEA) treten meist nur in einem fortgeschrittenem Tumorstadium mit Infiltration benachbarter Strukturen auf. Bisher war zur Verlaufsbeobachtung und insbesondere beim Rezidivverdacht nach Rektumamputation die Computertomographie die Methode der Wahl.
