Abstract

Final energy consumption data for space heating are temperature-corrected before determining the energy consumption of the space heating sector. This is done by weighting the yearly consumption with a correction factor corresponding to the deviation of the yearly heating degree days fron the long-term average (cf. the methodological appendix A.1). When this is applied to the time series for the number of dwellings, the temperature-corrected and stock variation-corrected specific final energy consumption for space heating can be obtained.
