Abstract

The development of specific electricity and fuel consumption (PJ/VA) was determined for industry (excluding refineries). The value added was selected as the indicator for economic activity. The influence of structural changes on specific consumption was taken into account in two different methodological approaches. Firstly industry was subdivided into 7 sectors, than in a second step, selected energy-intensive branches were subdivided into sub-sectors.
