Abstract
There exist a number of characteristics which are shared by all persons, by virtue of their being persons. This means that it is difficult to conceive of a person without these characteristics. To do so would require a change in the concept of person as developed here. Most of the characteristics to be described have to do with wants, but there are also some beliefs shared by all persons.
