Some Recent Results on Stark Effect Hamiltonians

Abstract

Let H0 = P2 + Fx denote the one-dimensional free Stark effect Hamiltonian in L2(ℝ). Here p = −i d/dx and we always assume F > 0. We are interested in studying the properties of H = H0 + V, where V is periodic (the Stark-Wannier Hamiltonian) or a sume of periodic functions. We study the scattering theory for the pair (H0,H) and the resonance structure of H.
