Abstract

For Barrett’s esophagus, what are the various degrees of differentiation toward gastric or intestinal epithelium which seem to predispose to dysplasia and cancer?

It has become clear that there are three basic types of mucosa which occur in Barrett’s esophagus, and not all of them occur in every case.
