Abstract

In contrast to that of the other countries in this comparative study, the demographic development of Canada is fairly recent. Thus, prior to any analysis of current interprovincial migration patterns, it may be worthwhile to review some aspects of this development, particularly those pertaining to the evolution of the geographical distribution of the Canadian population.
