Abstract
There are five enzymatic systems which may be regarded as Δ\( \bar \mu \)H consumers performing chemical work of some physiological importance:

H+ -ATP synthase;

H+ -pyrophosphate synthase;

H+ -transhydrogenase;

Reverse NADH-CoQ reductase;

5
Reverse CoQH2-cytochrome c reductase.
