Abstract

Aneurysms of the extracranial carotid artery are very rare and are limited mainly to the common carotid artery and the internal carotid artery [1, 4-7, 9, 10]. In regard to etiology, traumatic aneurysms are predominant, followed by arteriosclerotic ones. Luetic aneurysms are a rarity nowadays.
