Zusammenfassung
Erst die Möglichkeit, Ertaubte mit Innenohrimplantaten zu versorgen, hat bei der diagnostischen Suche nach den Ertaubungsursachen und der Unterscheidung von sensorischer, sensori-neuraler, neuraler und zentral-neuraler Surditas entscheidende Fortschritte gebracht: Voraussetzung für die Implantation einer Innenohrprothese ist eben ein intakter, funktionsfähiger Hörnerv.
