Analytical Epidemiological Hypotheses
As yet we have presented only our results pertaining to the descriptive epidemiology of psychogenic disorders. In this chapter we examine hypotheses in the field of so-called analytical epidemiology on the basis of series of questions on factors during early childhood that dispose toward neuroses (Sects. 6.1 and 6.2), the possible symptom-triggering situations (Sect. 6.3), and the life events involved (Sect. 6.4).
